drawtex® Wound Cleanser is suitable for the following wound types:
- Surgical site infections
- Traumatic wounds
- Pressure ulcers for stages 2 to 4
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Diabetic and vascular leg/foot ulcers
- Superficial and partial thickness burn injuries (wound bed preparation pre and post skin-grafting)
- Abrasions
- Minor irritations
- Acute and chronic skin lesions which include acne and eczema.
It is intended for moistening, cleansing, and debriding of wounds with at least three to five minutes of contact time.
Hypochlorous acid (HCOI) is effective for:
- Physical disruption of microbial biofilms.
- Control of bioburden and malodour.
- Wound infection management.
- Wound Bed Preparation (loosening of superficial debris and autolytic debridement).
- Maintenance of an optimal wound bed pH.
- Paediatric use.
