Fortimel Forticare 125ml

Forticare Fortimel is a high-calorie, high-protein, ready-to-drink nutritional supplement enriched with fish oil (omega-3 fatty acids), fiber, and antioxidants. It is specifically designed to manage disease-related malnutrition, particularly cancer-related cachexia (muscle wasting) and loss of appetite.

Primary Uses:

Oncology Patients: Used to manage malnutrition or risks of malnutrition caused by cancer, tumor-related illnesses, or cachexia.

Increased Nutritional Needs: Provides essential nutrients to patients with severe calorie or protein deficiencies.

Taste/Sensory Issues: The "Sensations" formulations (e.g., cooling flavors) help manage appetite loss and sensory changes in taste/smell, common in cancer treatments.

Key Characteristics:

High Nutritional Density: High protein and calories in small volumes (125ml) to combat early satiety (getting full too fast).

Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Contains EPA and DHA to help combat inflammation.

Usage: Used under medical supervision as a supplement (1–3 bottles/day) or for total nutrition (if recommended by a doctor).

Usage Context: Typically used for chronic conditions (minimum 12 weeks) or acute conditions (4–6 weeks)

Disclaimer: Not suitable for children under 6 years of age and for patients requiring a galactose-free diet.
