Peptamen® AF is an easily absorbable and digestible high-calorie and high-protein food for special medical purposes, based on hydrolyzed whey proteins and added in omega 3, to modulate the inflammatory response. Designated for better tolerance of early enteral nutrition of hypercatabolic adult or requiring restriction of fluid intake.
Peptamen® AF is specifically indicated for enteral nutrition of critically ill patients, in particular
- ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome)
- ALI (Acute lung injury)
- Patients undergoing SIRS (Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome)
- Hemodynamically stable septic patients
- Burned.
